My name is Dennis Washington. I’m 31 and currently serving a 10-12 year sentence for Masked Armed Robberies.
To be honest I’ve been debating for over a year on whether or not I would or should set up an account on this website, but recently decided to get out there and see what happens. My main issue was that I didn’t want to be a burden on anyone. Doing time is difficult for those incarcerated and those who support them from the streets, and I just couldn’t believe that a perfect stranger would want to go on this journey with me. But my brother just got married to the woman of his dreams; he met her on this website, and it inspired me to open up. I miss talking to people and want to build a real friendship/relationship with someone.
I’ve had plenty of ups and downs this bid, but have stayed focused on preparing myself for the future. I’ve attended every program available to me and even enrolled in college. I see parole in two years and between now and then I want to try and build something that will last.
I’m kind of a geek/nerd to be honest. I love video games, sci-fi movies, and the Game of Thrones books. I also love the outdoors though and go fishing, camping, and snowboarding as often as I can. Out on the streets I was a stone mason. It paid well and I love working with my hands. Something about creating permanent structures out of stone, that allowed me to be creative as well, gave me pride.
I have a huge family but no kids of my own yet. My little sister is my heart and my grandmother my rock. There’s about twenty of us living in the same area code, so holidays and birthdays are always loud and fun. They are my inspiration to be a better man. That and the fact that jail sucks, LOL.
If you’re interested in talking to me I’d love to hear from you. Go to Corrlinks , find me usingt my name and ID#, add me to your newly created account contacts list, and send me a message. You can also write me directly at the address below.
Whether I’ll hear from you or not, I hope you find what you are looking for.
Stay blessed.
Dennis
