I’m Derrick T. Lee and I’m from South Bend, Indiana. However, I’m incarcerated due to poor decisions I’ve made in the past. Due to my rehabilitation I’ve grown mentally and physically, bettering myself. I’ve been sentenced to 10 years in 2019, so I’ve had five years of thinking, learning, and re-planning my life. I’ve managed to get my GED, CDL, and Real Estate certificates. I’ve also taken Financial and Home-based Business / Stocks and Bonds classes. Life planning for short and long term goals is a must for me, though some things that gravitate my interest are cars, working out, watching movies, traveling and eating among other things.
I’m very family oriented, I have two children; my son is 13 and my daughter is 4. I’m married but have been separated for six and a half years now. However, I have recently been working on my divorce. She’s a great woman in every way, we were just not as compatible together as we thought. But for the most part I’m looking to build for the better of me. I’m a man of confidence, empathy, and passionate ambition. I like to laugh, love entertainment, I love to fix things as well as build them.
