Hello. We were recently issued tablets on my unit, which now enables us to send and receive messages, but first you have to register. You can do so by:
* calling (972)734-1111;
* downloading the free Securus Mobile App;
* or going to Securustech.net
You will need my Name and Number:

Now back to my headline, and yes, you did read that correctly. I am 44 years old and have been locked up since 1997 for robbery. I was only 17 at the time. I decided to place my profile on this site for a few reasons, the main one being is that I’m scared. I’m not scared to get out, I can’t wait to do that, but I am scared to fail. I’ve seen a lot of people get out of prison and come right back.
I finally come up for parole in 2027, but the Texas Legislature may pass the so-called “Second Look” bill in 2025, so I could be out a little sooner.
I’ve been incarcerated for most of my life, so I’ll be starting my new life practically from scratch. While in prison, though, I have not been idle. I’ve obtained many OJT Certifications and have graduated from quite a few self-help programs. I’ve also learned that to be successful in life, it’s not only what you know, but who you know, and that’s where I’m at a disadvantage. I’ve been in here for so long that I don’t know anyone in society anymore. And that brings us back to why I’m on this site. I’m hoping to meet anyone who can offer me advice, opinions, information, and possibly even a job offer for when I get out. I want to get out and succeed in life… not just be another statistic.
Now I’m aware that some people may not know what to say when trying to write someone in prison for the first time, so allow me to help by giving you a few questions to answer:
* Why are you looking for a pen pal?
* Why did you choose me?
* And, if I asked your friends to tell me three things about you, what would they say?
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Have a great day .
