Discover What’s Possible

You can email me at www.connectnetwork.com if you’re looking for a best friend who is real, loving, funny, a little crazy (that good crazy) and a lot of fun. I am on this site trying to meet people, share some laughs, and maybe meet that great woman who’s ready to turn our lives and worlds around together.

I know if you’re lucky, once in a lifetime you’ll find someone who will completely turn your life around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul. They absorb everything you say, and desire to hear more. You talk of hopes for the future, dreams that will never be realized, goals you feel you’ll never achieve, the many disappointments this life has thrown at you.

When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell that person about it. You know they’ll be just as excited as you. Never will this person hurt your feelings or make you feel like you’re not special, like you’re not good enough. Rather they build you up and help you realize what it is about yourself that makes you so special, beautiful, and lovable.

With this person you can be yourself and not have to worry about what others negativity think of you (like one has to act in here) because they like you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant, such as a letter, a phone call, and email, or a few minutes of being in one another’s company, become these little tiny tidbits of treasure kept as keepsakes and cherished.

Sometimes memories of your childhood can come flooding back and are so vividly recalled you almost feel young again. Colors seem brighter and life becomes more brilliant. Laughter becomes a daily routine, whereas before it was an infrequent visitor.

I know from experience that a pleasant phone call or two during the day, if shared with some significant other, helps to spread happiness throughout your life. Things that didn’t interest you before, what is worthwhile in these become noticeable, perhaps fascinating. You part ways with frustration and the persons close to you become all the more special. This particular person who brings out the joyful side of you, you uncover their value and through this discovery your connection deepens.

A person has to open their heart even though there’s a chance it may be broken. Making yourself vulnerable is the only way you’re ever going to have a deep, meaningful, emotional connection with another human being. You have to put aside all your fears, because only true happiness is found in that truly scary kind of love. This is where your strength lies. This is the only place you’ll ever find your soulmate, the one who will remain loyal till the end. If one shows me love and can be there for me at my lowest, then I could imagine what we can be when I am at my highest in life. I know one of the greatest things in life is finding someone who knows all your flaws, mistakes and weaknesses and still finds you absolutely amazing.

I am somebody who would love to find that special woman to grow old with, but I know that type of love can only start by being friends first. I believe that if we learn how to be friends then anything is possible in becoming more, if we want it to be more. We can bring the best out of each other by helping each other find a side to ourselves that we never knew we had. That’s the true measure of friendship, it isn’t how you feel about yourself.

Making new friends keeps life interesting, exciting and keeps you young. By adding more social capital you’ll have more opportunities, create new memories and try new things. These things are possible with someone in prison because physical things in life aren’t as important as the emotional connections we will make.

When it comes to change, since being locked up at 23, I worked on becoming a better person. Now that I am older, I’ve become a mentor in a lot of things I do in here. I have a passion for music, I love all types of music from Rock to 90’s R&B to Country. I also love to draw, write, read, tattoos, movies, sports, meeting new people, traveling, cooking and dancing, to name a few. (I feel like I can get down on the dancing side.) I have four kids and now two grandkids that I hope to meet one day soon. I worked hard in here so I can get out one day soon and try to start better relationships with my kids than I had, something I never really had with them.

I’m really not looking for serious relationships because I end up getting too close and getting hurt but I can’t predict what happens when we connect. I really just need a friend to joke and laugh with, have a good time with, but also help one another through good and bad times as well. I would love to find that special woman that I can talk to and maybe grow with. Someone who feels as lonely as I do in here. God created Eve for Adam for a reason, right?, to fill that void in man’s heart. Will you be that void? I spend my time and days in here mostly reading and researching my case trying to restore my freedom and getting the justice that I was unfortunately denied. We have a legal system not a justice system here in Illinois, and once you read up on my case you will see that I didn’t get the justice I deserved and was found guilty of my co-defendant’s lies and cover-ups. But I am still thoroughly convinced that I will one day very soon be exonerated from the charges that I have been wrongfully convicted of.

It’s not hard to find someone who tells you they love you. It’s hard to find someone who actually means it. This happened to me more times than I would like to admit. Has it ever happen to you? Then why not tell it to someone that you mean it when you say it? I really believe that one day someone will walk into your life and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else. So I know if you read this far you want to take that chance on me, maybe on us. So take that chance, you’ll be glad you did, I promise that.
